Monday i reserved for 5 persons, and I had...

Monday i reserved for 5 persons, and I had confirmation that the reservation was ok. The day after, we arrived in front of the Voruit : it was closed! I phoned and the man told me that the morning he send a message. Yes, but i don't speak flamish (We are frenchs in hollidays in Gent) so I though that the message was a mistake. My question: why it was possible to reserve on the website the monday if the Voruit was closed the day after?
