Le restaurant " Chez Jacques " se situe dans une maison typique à la décoration unique dans le cœur historique de Bruxelles. On y trouve une belle collection de peintures " du cru " et une vue sur les anciens quais du Marché Aux Poissons, tellement appréciés des Bruxellois et des touristes. L'ambiance et le ressenti particulier du quartier (et de l'assiette…) ont été décrits par nombreux artistes célèbres qui ont fréquenté cet endroit authentique. La cuisine fait la part belle aux fruits de mer, aux solettes meunières et aux autres poissons particulièrement bien sélectionnés par la maison. La carte fait le bonheur des gourmets les plus exigeants. A proximité de nombreux parkings et juste en face de la sortie de metro " Sainte-Catherine ", le restaurant Chez Jacques vous propose un moment unique et convivial associé à un plaisir gustatif, le tout dans un endroit riche en Histoire.

Traditional never grow old when it comes to...

Traditional never grow old when it comes to warm restaurants that feel like they've been around and travelled through the ages. Chex Jacques feels timeless because the food is terrific, classic, and done very well, and the service to the customer is excellent today. I am never sure what is better: sitting inside during an autumn evening with the feeling of being in classic wooden surroundings with the noise of a busy restaurant or the bustle of St Catherine's square in the sun of a summer evening enjoying life. Either way, Chex Jacques is one of my Brussels go-to places for food and ambiance.

We were well served; one dish was fine, the other (lotte) was to dry. We thought the food was over priced.
