Price does not equal the experience and the quality of food. It was overpriced for what it's worth and the service was so so. The edamame was not fresh, felt like it was frozen prior serving. Ordered uni and it was the blandest uni I have ever had. It does not have the umami/briny taste to it. Sukiyaki and the sashimi moriawase were the tasty ones in our order, but we still felt ripped off with all the overpriced dishes. The service felt insincere and awkward. The vibe of the waitress was not mean but not friendly either. She was smirky when explaining the dishes (we've been to Japan many times and know the food very well). When she was explaining the dishes, it felt more like snobby and arrogant and not informative. It also felt like she was "forced" to serve us. We won't go back. We are looking for authentic Japanese food, but not an overpriced Michelin- recommended rip-off. Go to Nonbe Daigaku! They have better service, is reasonably priced, and gave us a more welcoming vibes.
